Our Story
Set in the Kent countryside between Folkestone and Canterbury, The Old Kent Barn has a story stretching back more than 250 years.
Once used to house cattle and hay, the historic barn was transformed by the Simmons family into the wedding venue you see today: family-owned, thoughtfully cared for and surrounded by beautiful gardens.

The Old Kent Barn is an exclusive-use wedding venue set in the Kent countryside, close to Folkestone and Canterbury.
We host just one wedding each day, giving you the venue and the team’s complete attention. The New Barn welcomes up to 150 guests for ceremonies and dining, with space for up to 250 guests for the evening celebration.

A place for every kind of celebration
Choose between a garden ceremony surrounded by seasonal planting or a ceremony inside the oak-framed New Barn.
We welcome civil, celebrant, cultural and religious ceremonies of all faiths, alongside full weddings, Twilight weddings and ceremony-only celebrations.
Food is prepared by our in-house kitchen team, while five ensuite bedrooms provide onsite accommodation for up to 16 guests.
